The O'Donovan's of Ireland (Eire)
Once famed for their Royal splendor and Historical Fact. They was known for their staunch opposition to the English Rule in Ireland. I mean who wouldn't oppose a foreign occupation in their own land? These O'Donovan's were a mighty bunch of shamrocks, and a force to be reckoned with in the old days of the sword and shield.
i mean, lets face it, 'Ill tan yer f***king hide me ma used ta saye'... little did she know she was a great granddaughter of the hide himself, whom i am a son of Donal I of Ireland... how so? read below and learn about your true King below.

Edmond O'Donovan of Bawnlahan -1643 married Catherine Gaul De Burgo whose father was Sir William Gall De Burgo Vice-Chamberlain to King Edward III (son of Walter Fitz Piers Gall De Burgo)
10th great-grandfather and Son of DONAL Na-g-Croiceainn O'Donovan
Cornelius O'Donovan 1641-1702 married Rose Kavanagh he is the 9th great-grandfather and Son of Edmond O' Donovan of Bawnlahan whose father was Dowling McDermot Kavanagh who married Elizabeth Butler. Dowling father was Darby Kavanagh-Laigan whose father was King Donal the Spainard of Clonmellon Last King of Leinster whose father was Donoch Kavanagh-Clonmellon whom was executed for the Rebellion of 1578. He married Elinor Kavanagh-Garryhill. Her father was Hugh McShane O'Byrne (Ó Broin) who married Sawbina (Sabrina) O'Tool. Her mother was Mary Doyle (O'Tool). Donoch's father was Cathair Carrach Kavanagh-Clonmellon who married Elinor Kavanagh. Hugh McShane O'Byrne (Ó Broin) father was Shane Oge McRedmund O'Byrne who married Doireann O'Byrne. Dowling's Maternal Line is from Owney (Una) O'Byrne (Ó Broin-Raighnaill) whom is the daughter of Elizabeth Ó Broin-Raighnaill1560-1649
William Kavanagh O'Donovan 1664-1749 whom is the 8th great-grandfather and Son of Cornelius O'Donovan whom married Mary Haberlin together they had Edmund O'Donovan.
Edmond O'Donovan 1720-1798 whom is the 7th great-grandfather and Son of William Kavanagh Donovan whom married Mary Archdeacon they had:
Patrick O'Donovan 1754-1831 whom is the 6th great-grandfather and Son of Edmond Donovan
his spouse has not been traced to date according to my research, however i am still looking for this wife in order to determine any other descendents of this line.
Patrick Donovan 1790- whom is the 5th great-grandfather and Son of Patrick O'Donovan
This Patrick married Catherine Kenefeck, however we are still searching for those records, for completeness we assume that a marriage has taken place according to the traditions of old. We do know from other searches that this Patrick, also had a son named Patrick after himself.
Patrick Donovan 1813-1885 whom is the 4th great-grandfather and Son of Patrick Donovan who was Born in Ireland, but then migrated with Mary Holland who was born around 1815 in Ireland, whom which both of them travelled to Liverpool in which they settled there in England and had the following children:
John Donovan 1840-1904 whom is the 3rd great-grandfather and Son of Patrick Donovan he married Mary Ann Wright whom was the daughter of Elizabeth Majoribanks and Archibald Wright, these lines connect directly to the Scottish Clans of Majoribank, Young, McLouse, Gillespie, McNiven, Forsyth, Robinson, Richardson, Allan, Kelly, Alves, Gibb, Stuart, Douglas, Hamilton, Hepburn, Tudor, Lancaster, Plantagenet, Beaufort and Bruce, which you will be able to find on the Scottish Genealogy section, the last few descendents are born in England.
